AI-powered Web App for a Neurotechnology Startup
MindEasy is a neurotechnology startup building brain–computer interface (BCI)–enhanced solutions that are aimed at helping users in both educational and therapeutic settings. In partnership with academic, cultural, and medical institutions, MindEasy tests and refines their systems under real-world conditions. Their products are designed to adapt in real time to a user’s neurophysiological state, using EEG data and artificial intelligence to personalize experiences.
MindEasy’s goal is to make neurotechnology widely available through accessible, scalable tools for education, research, and therapy.

MindEasy needed to build a highly specialized MVP for BASIA, a neuroadaptive educational platform designed to personalize learning experiences based on real-time brain activity. The project concentrated on producing a prototype that could be immediately used in research validation and guide future product innovation.
The platform was intended to work in conjunction with an EEG headband (Muse) to monitor users’ cognitive states—measuring indicators such as focus, attention, and mental fatigue. As users engaged with the system, BASIA would analyze their brain data and dynamically adjust the learning content. When high levels of focus were detected, the platform was expected to present more advanced material. In cases of reduced attention or cognitive fatigue, it needed to adapt the content or pacing to better match the learner’s mental state.
The experience was to be delivered through a conversational interface powered by a large language model (LLM), enabling natural interaction while providing tailored educational support.
Our task was to:
– create a user interface for learners
– integrate with an LLM to embed an AI-powered chat,
– build backend services to manage data
– create a simple admin panel for lesson management
We successfully brought the BASIA system to life. Our team delivered a fully functional MVP as a web application. We achieved stable integration with Muse EEG devices, verified through internal pilot testing, and built a robust interface and backend capable of real-time signal processing and interactive chatbot responses.
The chatbot guides users throughout their learning sessions, delivering personalized educational content based on their cognitive state and facilitating natural, engaging interaction. The platform’s interface enables participants to complete full learning sessions with minimal guidance.
By hitting all project milestones on time, we were able to help the MindEasy team move quickly into user testing and validation. Early usability tests confirmed that BASIA is not only functional but also ready to support real-world research applications.
